The Planter

The eyes of others are upon him.
Marveling, doubting, and hoping.
Envious of his courage, of his grit.
Hungry for his passion.
A pioneer. In the flesh.
A sight unseen- a legend, a myth.
Existing.
In front.
The eyes of others are upon him.
From the realm of the unseen.
As he stands and speaks.
Power. Humility. Depth.
It has been seen before, in the past.
Old, but new. Ancient, yet raw.
Depth? Depth.
Creatures in the dark stand at attention.
The eyes of others are upon him.
Studying and proving.
Heretic? Heretic.
Above: something they've seen before.
Souls awakened.
A new way is boldly declared.
They don't understand. They want him to succeed.
They need him to succeed.
The eyes of others are upon him.
He stands in a wide open field.
The kingdom spreads from his footsteps.
They crowd around him; limp, crawl, walk, run.
Renewal! Renewal!
They marvel at the glory; at the beauty.
Simplicity.
Power.
The eyes of others are upon him
